As my first post, I would like to talk about our wonderful friend, the RAIN… It seems that rain has to be present in all of your important events this year… and I must admit it, rain and wedding is not my favorite combination….

Don’t get me wrong, we can do really AMAZING wedding photos in the rain, but cooperation and efforts from eveyone will be needed….

First of all, umbrellas can be really nice, but please avoid bringing multicolored ones… ! Unless you only want black & white photos, in which case, it doesn’t really matter…  Big “Labatt” logos in bright orange all around the umbrella are not the best, either (ok, I’m a Photohop addict, but i try to avoid too much retouching when possible).

The best umbrellas are golf ones, all white is posible, like on these photos:

Also, little note to the bride (the groom usually has learnt by this time that it is best not to have an opinion on that day)… You have to decide what is more important to you: having amazing photos, or keep you dress all clean for the rest of the evening… Personnally, I’d say screw the dress (it’s not like you are going to wear it again anyways…;) and a few drops of water won’t detroy it it, but I might be a little biased LOL After all, it’s your day, so the choice is entirely yours, and whatever you decide, i’ll take the best possible shots (my equipment will even be thankful if you choose not to go running in the rain).  Just know that if you do decide to go play in the rain, chances are small that you will remain as clean as when you got out of your room… But I guarantee the shots will be worth every drop of water
